Suite 6 Medical Clinic will support your care whether that is ending a pregnancy or continuing one.
Prior to your appointment, please read the links below to the patient pamphlet so you are familiar with the medications. Also we will offer birth control options in the future, it is helpful if you have some understanding of what is available for you.
If you have been referred to our clinic for an abortion/medical termination please call our clinic to book an appointment. Medical termination is offered up until 10 weeks gestation and we will book you within that timeframe. While this is an semi-urgent service, generally we have a several week window in order to book you in. When you speak to one of our physicians you will be provided with the medication the same day.
When you were referred, you were given a requisition for lab tests – please do those within 48 hours of your booked appointment time. If they are done too early you may be asked to repeat lab tests.
If you are requesting a surgical termination, we can arrange a referral to one of our local OBGYNs. Surgical termination (D&C) is offered until 13+6 weeks gestation.
Additional options are available in Prince George beyond 14 weeks gestation, please speak to a physician or call the Northern Interior Public Health unit to arrange a referral (250-645-8963).
If you are beyond 14 weeks and you do not wish for a termination in Prince George but would rather travel to Vancouver you can self refer through the CARE Program.
